Welcome to Troy Brook Visions Inc. A sculptor by education, Daniel has been transforming his artistic vision and knowledge of traditional wood joinery methods into functional and beautiful pieces of furniture for over fifteen years. Influenced by the simplistic beauty of Shaker furniture, the relationship of form to function evident in Arts & Crafts pieces, and the natural elegance prevalent in Asian pieces, Daniel creates original designs and fine furniture reproductions that are a reflection of these influences as well as the soul of the craftsman. Traditional cabinetmaking techniques such as mortise and tenon joints, free-hand dovetail drawers, and hand-applied, hand-rubbed finishes are used in the creation of each piece. On the following pages you will see a small sampling of different pieces we have made throughout the years. These particular designs have become quite popular yet are but a few of the hundreds of pieces we have created. We strive each day to create fine furniture that emphasizes the artistic potential of everyday objects and hope our designs will bring you years of functional as well as aesthetic pleasure.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
WOODS
We work primarily in the hardwoods - Cherry, Maple, Tiger Maple, Birdseye Maple, Mahogany and Walnut. Please feel free to ask about other woods such as Quartersawn Oak, Pine or paintable woods. We painstakingly search out the best wood for each piece, rejecting many board feet of rough sawn lumber each year making sure the inherent beauty of the wood is the focal point of each piece.
FINISH
Whether a stain is applied is a subjective decision of our clients depending on the color they envision for their piece. Every piece receives between three to five coats of a hand-applied oil and varnish combination. Each coat is hand-rubbed before the next step is begun. The process is completed with a final coat of wax. This ten step process produces a very durable finish and breathes a lustrous shine into the wood. The pieces are very user-friendly and will not be compromised by condensation, spills or moderate heat.
CARE
We recommend dusting your pieces with a clean, dry cloth. Our furniture can be washed with mild soap and water and dried if necessary. To maintain the beauty of the wood, chairs, casepieces, beds, and table bases should be re-waxed once a year. Table tops that receive high traffic should be re-waxed every six months.
